PRESS RELEASE
BEGINS-----------------------------------------------------------
SYDNEY, Australia -- International lifestyle community Savvy.com on
Wednesday announced the world’s largest, most democratic search to find the
world’s most beautiful woman, inside and out. The winner will take home an
unprecedented $1 million prize.
Voting for monthly winners will commence in January 2008, leading up to a
February 2009 ‘reality TV’ finale broadcast online, via mobile and on cable
TV in Savvy’s top country markets of the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
Savvy.com is owned by Savvy Digital Limited, with offices in Sydney
Australia; California, Seattle and Atlanta in the US; and representation in
London UK; and Canada.
Launching the contest in Australia this week, Savvy Digital Limited CEO
Jonathan Gravenor said that the Million Dollar Search will attract some
250,000 contestants and tens of millions of men and women voting regularly
worldwide.
“Our judging panel is you and this is 100% your public verdict. There is no
judging panel, celebrity judges or editorial input from us,” he said.
Gravenor said that Savvy’s popular North American-focused ‘Is She Hot?’ TM
modeling contest is the launching pad for this ambitious international
search.
“The contest links closely with our active social network Savvy Nation,
letting voters interact with contestants regularly. Savvy’s publishing and
social networking community creates a level playing field where the girl
next door can compete with professional models on equal terms and frequently
win. Voters get to know entrants’ personalities in depth during the contest
and our four years of contest experience demonstrates clearly that our
readers consistently vote for more than just photographic appeal,” he said.
“Yes, we expect voting based on looks. But Savvy readers believe a woman is
also beautiful when she is being herself – fun, approachable smart and
confident, sexy and vivacious. ‘Ice queens’ and self-absorbed models seem to
do badly. We would love to see regular girls from around the world holding
their own against top European and US models.”
Leading swimwear designers Baku Australia have partnered with Savvy.com for
the contest launch – after all a million dollar girl needs to look like a
million dollars! The winner’s photo-shoot will feature a custom-designed
designer bikini from Baku. Founder and creative consultant Sue Bykerk said
Baku were enjoying the assignment.
“We’ve had creative fun putting together a sexy Australian take on how a
million dollar bikini could look and designing a teaser bikini for today’s
announcement. During 2008 we can start designing a stunning one-off piece
for the contest winner and to fit with the January launch, we’re also
working on a summer swimwear spectacular with Savvy.”
Co-hosting the launch, Australian media star and Channel 10 ‘Rove’ stand-up
comic Peter Helliar quipped that it seemed the search was for a female
version of himself. “Savvy readers will be voting for the whole package -
not just beautiful, but funny, intelligent, engaging, charismatic,
successful. Very much like me, but in female form!”
His co-host, Miss Australia 2006 and presenter Erin McNaught said that the
search was a fantastic opportunity.
“Both monthly semi-finalists and the final winner will receive massive
public exposure to build their career and a truly international fan base.
Not to mention taking home that mind-blowing cash prize - how many
opportunities do young women get to put their hand up for a million-dollar
salary next year!”

About the Million Dollar Search
In January 2008, Savvy.com’s monthly ‘Is She Hot?’ (‘ISH’) contest is
exploding into an international year-long search with an unprecedented US$1
million prize. The winner will represent Savvy and key sponsor/s in 2009,
traveling for promotional appearances and interacting with fans.
From 2008, monthly winners will automatically become semi-finalists in the
annual Million Dollar Woman Search. Four other semi-finalists will be
chosen, again 100% by readers, from all previous eligible ISH winners since
2004. In early 2009, the 16 semi-finalists will be flown to Sydney,
Australia to compete in a televised and web-cast final contest.
Only one winner will be named. At the final contest in early 2009, the
Million Dollar winner will instantly take home US$250,000. The remainder
will be delivered equally throughout the year as she fulfils the contractual
requirements of the $1 million modeling contract.

Jennifer Walcott Starting New Chapter

Jennifer Walcott has the kind of staying power that most models and actresses can only dream about, and even though her storied life is starting to become more traditional, her popularity still has plenty of steam as she unveils a new web site and movie.
Look for Jennifer Walcott in the upcoming American Summer, where she costars with Matthew Lillard, Tom Arnold, George Takei in the story of a pool boy and a gardener who turn an empty mansion into a home for women who belong to the world’s oldest profession.
Playing sexy roles comes naturally for Jennifer, who gained fame as Playboy’s Miss August 2001 and has parlayed her association with the Playboy organization into an empire of its own. Most recently, she successfully made the transition from nude model to fitness model and jumped into the movie business in 2005’s American Pie Presents Band Camp.
She’s also, at this writing, three months pregnant with the baby of Chicago Bears Strong Safety Adam Archuleta. She gave us a few minutes of her time between airplane rides…
Savvy: Congratulations on your pregnancy. You’ve led a charmed life and now it gets a new chapter, huh?
Jennifer: This is the first grandchild in my immediate family so my parents are very excited for me. Adam is really excited because this is his first child as well. I think we’re both old enough, and it is at the right time of our lives. Some people never get to experience half of the things we have.
Savvy: Your life is about to change! (Laughs)
Jennifer: People think that your life just stops when you have a child, but I don’t think we’re going to completely stop traveling and having fun. You just have to make adjustments. I’m not going to be like a Britney Spears (Laughs) but I will be going to events still. It’s interesting. There are a lot of Playmates younger than me who are pregnant right now. We’re all talking on the phone and trading secrets. It’s exciting that the sisterhood of Playboy has entered a new chapter where we are a big part of each other’s lives, but in a different way.
Savvy: You turned 30 in May, but you’re still hotter than most 21-year-old girls!
Jennifer: Thank you. Aesthetically, I think you’re right: I do look better now than some 20-year-olds out there. Youthfulness comes from within. People see that and appreciate it. I hang out with a lot of young models. I’ve always been really hard on myself about my looks. I didn’t like my pictorial and didn’t think it was the best. I don’t think I look or act 30. Sometimes you see moms who are 25 who look and act old. I think feeling young keeps you young.
Savvy: You have a perspective at 30 that you don’t have at 20. A confidence that’s sexy…
Jennifer: I’m coming to a great place in my life where I actually know myself and I’m with a great person, granted it took me 10 years to find myself and that person. But it’s better than settling like so many people do. They end up switching things around later that they should have done from the beginning.
Savvy: Sounds like someone is ready to settle down.
Jennifer: I’ve BEEN ready for a while to settle down. It’s been 7 years of traveling and non-stop going. I bought a house in Arizona, and the one thing I regret was never swimming in my own pool and just relaxing. It sounds silly, but you never have the time to actually do those things.
Savvy: What kind of things are keeping you busy these days besides trips to the doctor?
Jennifer: I’ve stopped doing jobs with Playboy for a while, although I sent them a picture and they said, “Oh, you aren’t even showing yet! Are you sure you don’t want to come back?” (Laughs) I just did People Magazine Australia and got the cover of that. I’m going to do some modeling for pregnancy magazines like Stork and others. I have to wait until I am further along to do that.
Savvy: That’s a whole new niche of modeling opening up to you. And then you get to be an expert on getting your figure back. Of course, you’ve always been so fit; it should be a piece of cake for you.
Jennifer: I hate to sound like one of those women, but I’ve never had to work hard on my body. My family, the women are beautiful and have no stretch marks, so I’m pretty fortunate genetically. I don’t think I’ll have any problem bouncing back. People are amazed that I still have abs at three months along.
Savvy: Speaking of muscles, you turned down a chance to become a WWE Diva and earn $250,000. That’s an expensive demonstration of your desire to slow down.
Jennifer: The WWE thing just wasn’t for me. Playboy treated me very, very well. They always took care of us and put us in a great environment. Not to sound stuck up, but WWE budgets. I could deal with women more than muscle-bound men while driving state-to-state, but I couldn’t imagine being in a car with a bunch of wrestlers trying to find our next destination. The traveling was already hectic for me, so I couldn’t see myself in another situation with daily travel that wasn’t a fulfilling job or what I was used to.
Savvy: You have other projects in the works.
Jennifer: I have a movie coming out in June that I’m really excited about. I play Caitlin in a comedy called American Summer.
Savvy: Yes, I see that Misty Dawn, one of our former ISH Contest winners, has a role in the movie as well. That’s awesome. Tell us about your new web site, which looks awesome, by the way.
Jennifer: My manager Dan and I had to do a lot of damage control because the company that did my first web site didn’t treat the models or the fans well. They had a model in me that actually wanted to work and interact and believed in the dotcom, but I barely had passwords to get in there myself and see my own pictures. I never did any editing and couldn’t tell them what to do. I was not that computer savvy, but it has been fun to learn and I’m enjoying it. It was difficult explaining to people that my site is still jenniferwalcott.com, but it’s different owners. But my fans are sticking by me, and my web site has a great new look. I’ve done a ton of shooting because of the pregnancy and have a lot more interaction with my fans now. I do a daily blog and will be answering fans’ questions directly. My web site has allowed me to meet my fans, and they’ve become my friends because of it.
Savvy: Cool. Why do you think you’re still so popular after several years? Aside from the occasional Pam Anderson or Jenny McCarthy, most Playmates have a brief moment in the spotlight and then fade into obscurity again.
Jennifer: I go on the Playboy forums sometimes. I read a thread where someone was asking that question. You know, a Playboy Playmate is not just a beautiful person because there are so many beautiful women out there. I’ve sent beautiful women to Playboy who didn’t get in because, unfortunately, that wasn’t the look they were going for. Beauty is about having a great heart, being able to smile and interact with people, not to be stuck-up or bitchy or consider yourself too good. I’ve maintained some humble pie, treated everyone the same and tried to be gracious. I think it is just a combination of being a professional and having a good heart.
Savvy: A lot of girls have a good heart. You’ve become something more.
Jennifer: When I do something, I want to go in full-force and do everything I can. A lot of girls do their pictorial and then move on and get married. I really wanted to do a lot with Playboy. I established my fan base by appearing as much as I could. Sometimes it burns me out, but it works out in the end.
Savvy: Thanks for the interview. We know how busy you stay. And good luck with the baby.
Jennifer: Thanks, Savvy! I hope your readers check out my new site and enjoy it.
